USATODAY.com - Film fans can expect more advertising on big screen

This kinda crap really rubs my rhubarb... 20 minutes of commercials before I get to watch a movie I just spent $10 to watch? F'that! I'm feeling a ban coming on. Click to read the whole, sad story.

USATODAY.com - Film fans can expect more advertising on big screen: "Moviegoers should get used to those ads shown as they settle into their seats.

Ad forecasters at ZenithOptimedia said on Monday that spending on in-theater ads, usually shown before the trailers, rose by 18% this year to $400 million — and likely will go up by about 15% each year through 2008."

I have to say those ads are annoying. Ruining my theater experience.

Soon movies will take all day to watch. 3 to 4 hours lord of the rings and 30min to a hour of crap before that. No spank you. My ass can't take that.
