Vespa Viva

Vespa Viva: "Not quite a bicycle, not quite a motorbike, the Vespa is utilitarian, stylish, fun, and cheeky. There's not much to it -- a seat, an engine, and a groovy splashguard -- but in its own unassuming way it leaves a filament of Italian culture in its wake whether it's ridden in Chicago, Brussels or Bognor.

Vespa manages to stay cool in popular culture throughout the decades. Gregory Peck rode one in 'Roman Holiday,' and Audrey Hepburn rode on the back of one while adhered to Gregory Peck. Vespas look cool parked in front of art colleges, juice bars and any back lane or side street in Europe."

ABC News: Savant Gives Window to World of Autism

If you know me, you know this kind of stuff is right up my alley. The TRUE power of the brain lies bottled up... in accessible to the likes of you and I... but for some, things are wired right and that bottle is also broken.

ABC News: Savant Gives Window to World of Autism: "Daniel Tammet of England can verbally reel off the number pi to 22,500 decimal places in just over five hours — though he admitted after a recent demostration that it made him 'very tired.'

Tammet, 26, is a phenomenon. He has done lots of amazing things — like learning Icelandic, one of the world's most difficult languages, in just seven days."

Health food vs. Happy taste buds

It's a war we wage everyday... By "we" I mean the people who every once in a while say to themselves, "I should just have a salad instead of a Wendy's Triple with Cheese.

Now, let's bring it home... Snacks. Should I eat the last 3 Nutter Butters or the rice cake? Peanutty goodness or styrofoam... I doooon't know.

Well, I actually discovered the Switzerland of snack food... Neutral... Not fighting to be the best healthfood with tofu like tastes and not fighting to make the happiest taste buds like a triple with cheese (or a big slice of carrot cake with cream cheese icing if your not a meat person).

If you can find it, do yourself a favor a try a bag of Stacy's Pita Chips... Just the Nude ones with salt. They taste supergood, and they got all kinds of good crap going on too, like No Trans Fats, No Sat Fats, so on and so forth. Find out more about them here.

***This has NOT been a paid announcement and is solely the expressed opinion of the author. Stacy may not approve of statements like "all kinds of good crap going on", or calling them the "Switzerland of snack food". I don't really care if you try them or not, I'm just saying that my wife and I have put away 2 bags in a week, so don't come cryin' to us when they're sold out in the store and you can't get one to try.

Pranksters... You can always get a job overseas.

Sometimes, I wonder if foriegn companies hire Americans to help with product marketing and the people they hire take it upon themselves to try and boost sales to Americans by naming the product something funny. I mean, some of these things would prolly even be considered an HR violation. In other words... someone please send me a can of Vergina Beer from Greece so I can display it in my office. Go here to see what I mean.

***UPDATE***
Wait! There's more! A whole site dedicated to rude food.
Sorry Stacy... I hope you can call in sick or something today because if you read this at work you're outta there for sure!

Id'nt this a wicked tatt?

I was thinking about a android arm tatt today (in class). Thought it would be cool to have my left arm tattooed ala Bjork's "All is full of love" robot music video. You know... lot's of seams... like my arms, joints, fingers, etc were made up of panels. I wanted it to be somewhat subtle.

I looked up robo tattoos today and ran into this:

(click to be shocked and awe'd)

It was a lot more extreme than what I had envisioned... but sweet lookin' for sure.
I think I'll hold off a bit longer... just kinda let it marinate for a while.
